DIVALIA

DIVALIA, the living proof that miracles exist! A true inspiration

Divalia was unaware that her life would be a series of peaks and troughs as rugged yet still beautiful as the French Alps where she was born and raised as a child. Yet that was the way it was to be, and all of us can draw from and use the spiritual tools of inspiration, determination and courage she herself used to survive the countless tragedies and challenges that life continually put in her path.  It was in the Alps where Divalia discovered her magical spiritual healing powers following a terrible fall, only cheating death by hauling her broken body to safety, hauling herself upwards being drawn towards the light by the breath and voice of an angel.   Continuing to use and learn about her new found talent for healing Divalia miraculously amazed and confounded the medical teams by self- healing her shattered body and life as well as sharing her healing energies with others along the way.  Since the age of eight Divalia has sung and played music, which has always played a large part in her transformational maturity; developing her own unique brand of healing music, her ‘soulful music,’ which she now combines and uses to enhance the power of the healing energies she shares with her clients.
We can all relate to and find lessons to be used in our personal life struggles from Divalia’s own life; who couldn’t be inspired to find the spiritual strength, courage and determination from a woman who survived that near death experience, traveled the globe to expand upon, nurture and grow her extraordinary gift, helping, giving and sharing with everyone she met. The courage and determination to survive when being chased by cannibals in Honduras, producing and promoting her own music albums, encountering ghosts in Mexico, being arrested at the Swiss border as well as the glitz, glamour and hedonism of Hollywood, and so much more.
Divalia’s journey is at times a bewildering and shocking adventure but also full of fun and laughter, she is like a rolling stone tumbling through all the highs and lows of simply living, but for the moment she has come to rest, if you can call it that, in Los Angeles, the City of Angels (another intrigue, why did she choose the City of Angels!) where she currently lives and continues with her work and passions as a energy healer, singer/songwriter of ‘soulful-healing-music’. But Divalia hasn’t quite stopped rolling yet, she has written her first book, ‘Divalia’s Imago’ about her true life transition and connection with her in ner being and healing energy in the same way as the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a pupa before bursting into a new life of beauty as a butterfly.  This book is like a spiritual toolbox for anyone seeking their own true self and it is combined with CD which includes the track ‘Rolling Stone’ which is also the first chapter.
Book release date: 04/11/11 with the related music album. For more information, visit:

DIVALIA PRESENTS CHLOE TRUJILLO

I asked Chloe to paint the butterfly wings for my book cover for two reasons: I am a fan of her art and I wanted to share this journey with a good friend. On a beautiful spring afternoon, in Central Park, NYC, we were talking about the nature of our friendship, realizing that we witnessed each other's evolution and transformation through life's challenges; we supported each other without judgment or jealousy for many years. Suddenly it became obvious that we should write a song to spread a positive message about Friendship. We co-wrote 'Imago', that became the title of the last chapter of my book. A year later, we are honored to perform our song for the very first time at the Conscious Children's Network Conference in Tempe, AZ, April 3rd.

Chloe and I will also be performing at the GroundFloor Gallery for the launch party of 'Divalia's Imago', April 11th. Meet us there if you are in Los Angeles! You will appreciate some of Chloe's exquisite paintings at GroundFloor Gallery 433 S.Spring Street Downtown LA. Or visit her website:  www.chloeinart.com

Divalia. How do you define your style?

Chloe. I think my artwork is a combination of all the things I love and all the messages I channel, I love colors and curves, I’ve always had an obsession with symbolic meanings and since I paint visions I receive, I think I would call my style funky, visionary, symbolic, mystical.I have a hard time putting labels on things...ever more so on my creations...

D.How do you manage your career with a busy schedule as a mother of 2, married to a famous artist?

C.It is quite challenging... Kids are a priority of course, but if I don't deliver what I'm meant to deliver on a daily basis, whether it is through painting or writing or performing,I get knots in my stomach telling me I have to do my job... So I write down a to do list every night for the next day ,it relieves some of the stress... It's all about balance:family, career, taking care of yourself...

D.Do you have a special ritual or routine before starting a new painting?

C.I always get an urge start a painting,it is dictating me what to do,I almost have no control over it...and sometimes as I am painting one thing, I'll get visions of something else and I'll grab a piece of paper to sketch it real quick,so it doesn't go away. The "physical" side of painting almost gets in the way(meaning preparing surfaces,paints,medium,etc...as well as time)

D. Do you feel "in the zone" when you paint?

C. Absolutely, I lose sense  of space and time when I create, I feel very close to the feeling you get when you meditate, a mix of being connected to all that is and total bliss. I get messages and predictions, here is a painting dated 2 years ago of the Japanese tsunami and nuclear disaster and the explanation: March,16th 2011 Today, as I was driving back home right after my mom called from France, warning me about the radioactive radiations coming from Japan and asking me if I needed some iodine sent,I suddenly got a vision of that painting(dated 2009). This is it, the second very clear prediction: Japanese tsunami, nuclear radiation disaster, it’s all in there: “Hokusai” style wave (japanese) coming over, the peace and love signs(nuclear disarmament),piling of skulls(disaster) and many more symbolic meanings are to add(the redness of the All-Seeing eye-anger? Pollution ?, Yellow around?)I’ll leave it to your interpretation...
Peace and Love

D.Does your inspiration come from the same source when you paint or
when you write a song?

C.Yes, same place,universal consciousness...
