Are you ready to train with the best on MMA?
If you do not herald from a fighting or fitness background you could be forgiven for misinterpreting this name as signaling yours or an others poor financial status. Yet to those in the know, Tapout, of course, refers to the international boxing brand synonymous almost world round as a leader in their field. The great news for LA is a Tapout training center has arrived in our own back yard and to say the least its impressive.
Located at 400 W Pico Blvd in Downtown LA in clear view of the Los Angeles Staples Center in the south park district. it seems it could not be a more appropriate location for this fitness mecca. Step inside this corner appointed 10,000 sq ft building and its hard not to exclaim a wow or two. The center is clean huge, loaded with equipment cages and the most powerful murals floor to celling. It's a haven for those who see fitness as a lifestyle, career or just a hobby. For sure Tapout has you covered. It is a premier fight training center gym and fitness emporium rolled into a space that has attitude. Offering classes in MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, judo, kickboxing even specific classes just for kids, not to mention nutritional consultations.
Managed by Suzanne Silver and owned by entrepreneur Mark Kozlowski, LA's Tapout Training Center promises and delivers a workout with attitude it's 24-foot octagonal cage, 24-foot “Pride” ring; striking and conditioning areas with kicking and punching bags coupled with Hammer strength fitness equipment that is second to none Amateur and professional fighters train with Tapout Certified Instructors. “Clients get in the cage and feel the experience like any MMA fighter would feel." This is unlike your local gym workout pushing weights or kicking it on the treadmill. It’s intense exercise routines. Classes or private sessions with some of the world’s most decorated instructors such as Dillon Croushorn who by the age of 17yrs old was already competing actively as a Professional kick boxer. Dillon is a 3rd degree black belt in Kuoshu-Aiki-Jitsu from the art's creator Allan Gililland. He also holds many kickboxing championship titles.
Kathy Long , another of Tapout's trainers , is appropriately decorated. She is a long time practitioner of the martial arts. Kathy began her training in the Japanese art of Aikido, eventually earning a black belt in the system. She has also earned a black belt in Chinese Kung Fu San Soo, eventually reaching the level of master in the style. She would also train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the legendary Machado family and has been inducted into several sports hall of fame's. So it's not surprising that she should have graced the covers of 35 magazines during her career.
So why do you look more like the mastodon? It’s because you use your body like one.
So its certainly appropriate that we refer to Tapout as the ultimate training centre. Works out here will certainly test your endurance. To which end, it is fitting we should now claim to host the west coast's premier mixed martial arts and fitness facility in our own back yard.
